The Simple Truth about Health Care Reform
Health care costs are breaking the backs of middle class families and small businesses. Each year, health care costs increase, yet we don't see better results. In addition, every American family pays $1,000 in hidden taxes each year to cover the health care costs of the uninsured.
The status quo is unacceptable and the cost of inaction is too great. Now is the time for health care reform.
We are committed to reforming the health insurance system this year.
- Reform will reduce the costs of health insurance for middles class families and small businesses, limit out of pocket costs and reduce the amount seniors have to pay for prescription drugs.
- Reform will improve the health care Americans receive by rewarding doctors and hospitals for the quality of their work, not the quantity.
- Reform will protect your choice of doctors, hospitals and insurance plans.
- Reform will assure stability and security in healthcare for all Americans by ensuring that they never lose their health care because of a change in employment or a preexisting condition.
Moreover, health care reform will do all these things without increasing our nation's deficit.
