Only 10 days to get covered!
Dear friend,
This year has not been easy. Our normal lives have been upended in ways we never could have imagined. In Delaware, we have lost over 700 brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and grandparents to the coronavirus. Today, and every day, I pray for the loved ones who have had to say goodbye much too soon.
While each day brings fresh hardships and difficulties, there is still much we can do to keep our loved ones safe and healthy. That includes ensuring that they have quality, affordable health insurance. From now until December 15th, you can find a plan that works for your family’s needs and budgets by visiting healthcare.gov or choosehealthde.com. In the First State, our premiums are down for the second year in a row! And more than 8 out of 10 Delawareans will get financial help to cover premiums and deductibles, which will bring their average premiums to $110 per month.
Even if you or someone you know already has insurance, more affordable options may be available. Go to healthcare.gov and see what cost saving alternatives you qualify for. And Delawareans who may need extra help enrolling will have access to free in-person assistance from federally funded and trained specialists at Westside Family Healthcare, and by certified application counselors at Henrietta Johnson Medical Center in Wilmington and La Red Health Center in Georgetown.
We each have a responsibility to keep our loved ones and ourselves safe during these trying times. That means wearing a mask, socially distancing and staying home as much as we can. It also means ensuring we have access to quality, affordable health care. There’s no time to waste. To ensure you have health care in 2021, register anytime from today to December 15 at healthcare.gov or choosehealthDE.com and make sure you get covered.
Stay safe and stay healthy,
Tom Carper
