My 42nd Year at the Delaware State Fair

Dear Friends,

Did you know that this year marks the 96th Delaware State Fair? It began around a coal burning pot belly stove in the town of Harrington in 1919. Then the idea transformed the following year into more of the fair we know today: carnival rides, animals, music, and fun! Today, more than 300,000 people from all over Delaware and the surrounding states come to Harrington in Kent County to discover what Delaware is all about, ride the rides, explore the agricultural community, and have some fun.

This year, I had the chance to meet people from all walks of life at the fair. There’s still one day left to explore. Don’t forget to stop by my booth in the Delaware Building and enter a raffle to win a U.S. flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol on the Fourth of July. You might even bump into me there!

Sincerely,
