Sen. Carper Announces U.S. Service Academy Nominations
Students Chosen as Top Candidates from Delaware
WILMINGTON – Today, Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) announced the names of his service academy nominees for the Class of 2016, bringing these Delawareans one step closer to joining the ranks of America’s military officers. Each year, members of the United States Congress are charged with nominating top candidates from their home state, ensuring the best and the brightest are considered for admission to the nation’s leading service academies.
“These outstanding candidates have very bright futures ahead of them and are poised to contribute significantly to our nation’s future successes,” Sen. Carper said. “Our service academies are doing a remarkable job developing tomorrow’s leaders and that speaks to the high caliber of students who attend our academies. The integrity, intelligence, and dedication demonstrated by this group of nominees is inspiring and I am proud to say they are among Delaware’s finest.”
