Carper to Meet with Local Postal Workers, Postmaster General to Testify Before Carper’s Committee in DC this Wednesday

WILMINGTON , DE- Senator Tom Carper will meet with local postal workers at the Hares Corner Post Office this Monday afternoon. Postmaster General John E. Potter will testify before Senator Carper and the Senate Government Affairs Committee this Wednesday in Washington, DC. “Our nation suffered a great loss with the death of two postal employees recently in Washington, DC. When you become a postal worker, you swear that neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow will stand in the way of duty. Nowhere does that pledge mention the threat of bioterrorism. But still these men and women work on. They persevere,” Carper said. Carper will hold a media availability in front of the postal facility and answer questions.
