Carper to Talk About the Current State of Congress, the Budget, Homeland Security, and Amtrak
WILMINGTON, DE – Senator Tom Carper will discuss homeland security, Amtrak, the federal budget and the current state of Congress tomorrow when he addresses the Christiana Rotary Club. Carper will spend the rest of the day in Wilmington, joining staff at the Children’s Advocacy Center in reaffirming the First State’s commitment to keeping children safe and preventing child abuse. This week, (Aug. 10 to Aug 17) has been designated as National Joining Hands to Protect Children Week. He will also tour the facilities of Noramco and Agilent Technologies.
