Rehoboth Restaurant Manager Saves Customers Life

REHOBOTH, DE – Thousands of people will visit restaurants in Delaware’s beach towns this Fourth of July weekend, but the Cracker Barrel of Rehoboth will have a special guest this Wednesday to celebrate the heroism of one of its managers. Senator Tom Carper will offer special recognition to restaurant manager Charles Jefferson for saving the life of a customer who was choking on her food. After several other guests had tried and failed to help the woman, Jefferson rushed in successfully performed the Heimlich maneuver. Jefferson then stayed with the woman and comforted her until the paramedics arrived and took her to Beebe Hospital. Paramedics and hospital personnel credit Jefferson for saving her life. “Charles Jefferson is a hero.
