Get covered
There’s been a lot of talk about health care in Congress this year, but you need to know that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance marketplace is open for business.
Three years ago, the ACA began offering every American in the First State and across the country access to high-quality and affordable health care. Since then, nearly 20 million Americans have gained health care coverage.
As October winds to a close, a critical window of opportunity arrives again for Delawareans to gain health coverage through the Affordable Care Act: Open enrollment. If you don’t get health insurance through your employer, Medicaid, Medicare or the Children’s Health Insurance Program, you can find a health care plan that works for you in the ACA marketplace.
Help us spread the word: Open enrollment in the ACA marketplace is November 1st to December 15th
Many people don’t realize that eight in 10 people looking for health insurance on the marketplace qualify for financial assistance. Most will be able to find a plan with premiums costing less than $100 dollars each month. If you or someone you know doesn’t have health insurance for 2018, I encourage you to go to HealthCare.Gov or ChooseHealthDE.com if you live in Delaware to shop and compare available plans. While the open enrollment period doesn’t begin until next week, you can go online today to window shop for available plans.
Assistance is available to answer questions and get help with enrollment. Free and confidential assistance is just a call or click away:
