Sen. Carper Serves as “Principal for a Day” At A.I. DuPont Middle School

Wilmington, DE – Senator Tom Carper has held a number of positions – State Treasurer, Governor, Congressman – but tomorrow he will add “Principal for the Day” to his list. The Senator will serve as “”Principal for a Day” at A.I. DuPont Middle School in Wilmington. This program is designed to help community leaders better understand the complex role of a school principal and to help gain perspective on the school system from within. Senator Carper will shadow Principal Ray Gravuer and will participate in activities such as visiting classrooms, meeting with teachers and parents and giving morning announcements. A.I.
