Senator’s Schedule for Thanksgiving Day Thursday, November 28, 2002

WILMINGTON, DE – Senator Tom Carper will hold true to his holiday tradition Thursday by running a 10K race benefiting muscular sclerosis research in the morning and serving Thanksgiving dinner afterward to some of the most in need in Wilmington. “This is the time of year when we draw loved ones close and reflect on the value of our families and friends,” Carper said. As he has many times in the past, Carper will be present at the Emmanuel Dining Room to serve roast turkey, stuffing, corn and homemade pumpkin pie. The home cooked food will be donated by Lee Gallagher and served by her staff, as it has been every Thanksgiving for the last 19 years.
