Sen. Carper to Hold a Tele-Town Hall Meeting

WILMINGTON (September 23, 2010) – On Monday, September 27, 2010, Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) will hold a telephone town hall with interested Delawareans to  listen to their questions, comments and concerns, and share his own thoughts and priorities on a variety of subjects, depending on caller’s questions.  

 

Sen. Carper has held several successful tele-town hall meetings during the last year to talk about health care reform and has reached almost 20,000 Delawareans on those calls.  Telephone town hall meetings provide a unique and convenient  forum to allow thousands of Delawareans to participate in a conversation with Senator Carper.

 

The call will run from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  Participants will receive a call just before 6:30 p.m. with a prompt to join the call and prompts will be given to join a queue to ask a question. Sen. Carper will take as many questions as time allows.

 

To sign up for the tele-town hall, constituents may call one of Sen. Carper’s offices in Delaware or Washington, D.C., or sign up on his website by 8 pm on Sunday, September 26, 2010.  Please note that RSVP’s received after 8 pm, Sunday, September 26, 2010 cannot be guaranteed a spot in the September 27, 2010 tele-town hall meeting but will be added to future tele-town hall meeting call lists.
