WASHINGTON – Today, Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) voted for S.Res.159, a resolution honoring members of the military and intelligence community who carried out the mission that killed Osama bin Laden:
“As we celebrate this important victory in our ongoing effort to fight terror at home and around the world, I’m proud to join my colleagues and all Americans in honoring those who participated in the mission to kill Osama bin Laden. This tremendous accomplishment took nearly a decade of persistence and sacrifice from members of the military and intelligence community, and they deserve our deepest gratitude and respect for their brave and tireless efforts to bring Osama bin Laden to justice.”
